The Relationship Guide Membership

Last updated: August 2026

I respect your privacy and take the protection of your personal information seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, how I use it, who I may share it with, how long I keep it, and the rights you have over your information.

This policy applies to information collected through my website, The Relationship Guide membership, my forms, emails and other services I provide.

1. Who we are

The Relationship Guide is operated by Ment4U Limited ("we", "us"), and delivered by Coach Topé ("I"), on behalf of the company.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller responsible for your personal information.

We only ask for information that we reasonably need for the purpose for which we are collecting it.

3. Information you provide about your dating or relationship situation

The Relationship Guide involves discussing real-life dating and relationship situations.

If you submit a question or other information about your situation, you may choose to share personal information about yourself, another person or your relationship.

Please think carefully about what you include in your questions. You do not need to provide names or identifying details about other people.

Where I share an anonymised question or response inside the membership, I will remove or change identifying details where reasonably necessary so that the individual or situation cannot readily be identified.

The information you submit is used to provide the membership and relationship guidance you have requested.

The membership is not a medical, psychological, therapeutic or crisis service. Please do not use the membership as a substitute for appropriate professional support where that is needed.

6. The legal basis for using your information

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for processing your personal information.

Depending on what we are doing, we may rely on:

Contract

We need to use certain information to provide the membership or other service you have purchased from us and to fulfil my obligations to you.

Legal obligation

We may need to keep or use certain information because we are legally required to do so, for example for accounting or tax purposes.

Legitimate interests

We may use information where it is reasonably necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided those interests do not override your rights and interests.

This may include improving our services, managing our business, preventing fraud, maintaining security and, where permitted, sending relevant marketing communications.

Consent

Where consent is required, we will ask you for it.

For example, you can choose whether to receive certain marketing communications from me, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

7. Marketing

If you have signed up to receive marketing communications from me, I may send you information about my services, membership, events, masterclasses, resources and other relevant offers.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting me directly.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications will not stop me from sending essential information relating to a service or membership you have purchased from me.

8. Who we share your information with

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information with trusted third-party service providers where this is necessary to run our business and provide my services.

These may include providers for:

  • Payment processing

  • Email marketing

  • Website and membership hosting

  • Form and questionnaire processing

  • Video conferencing

  • Messaging and community services, including Telegram

  • Business administration and accounting

  • Website analytics and technical services

These providers may process personal information on our behalf.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place when personal information is shared with third parties.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, for example to comply with a legal obligation, court order or request from an appropriate authority.

9. Telegram

The Relationship Guide uses Telegram as part of the membership experience.

When you join the membership, we may need your Telegram username or other relevant Telegram account information in order to give you access to the appropriate membership channel or group.

Telegram is a third-party service and has its own privacy policy and terms.

Please be aware that information you choose to post or share within a Telegram group may be visible to other members of that group.

You should therefore avoid sharing information that you would not be comfortable with other members seeing.

Where relationship questions are submitted privately to me and subsequently shared with the wider membership for learning purposes, I will anonymise them as described above.

10. Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.

However, no online system or method of transmitting information over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Please also take care when sharing personal information through third-party platforms such as Telegram.

11. How long we keep your information

We will keep personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.

For example, we may need to retain information about purchases for a number of years to comply with financial and tax requirements.

When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or securely dispose of it.

12. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have rights relating to your personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include the right to:

  • Ask for access to the personal information we hold about you

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances

  • Ask us to restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances

  • Object to certain types of processing

  • Ask for your information to be provided to you in a portable format in certain circumstances

  • Withdraw consent where we are relying on consent to process your information

  • Object to direct marketing

These rights are subject to certain legal exceptions and limitations.

If you would like to exercise any of your rights, please contact us using the details above.

13. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so that we have the opportunity to resolve it.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), which is the UK's independent supervisory authority for data protection.

You can find information about making a complaint on the ICO's website.

14. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that can help websites function properly, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the website and, where applicable, support marketing and analytics.

The cookies used will depend on the website, platform and services we use.

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent in accordance with applicable law.

You can also manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect how some websites function.

15. Third-party websites and services

Our website, emails and membership may contain links to third-party websites or services.

If you follow a link to a third-party website, that organisation will have its own privacy policy and terms.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or platforms.
